About Tulegoose Pillow Company,
the world's ONLY wild waterfowl pillow and comforter manufacturer!
In
1974, Dick and Trudy Eastman bought the Mallard Goose and Duck
Processing Plant where local hunters take their waterfowl to
be plucked and prepared for cooking and freezing. Realizing
that the feathers could be utilized, we opened the Tulegoose
Pillow Company in 1979. We are one of three pillow manufacturers
on the West Coast and the only wild waterfowl manufacturer
in the world, stuffing pillows & comforters with collected
goose and duck down. All of our products are made in America.
Owner Trudy Eastman has written
a game recipe cookbook titled, "From
the Tules To The Table," now in its 6th printing.
Some recipes are 100 years old. She has personally cooked every
recipe in the book, except for the rattlesnake and bear, but
she has eaten both!
Tulegoose Pillow Company has been
featured in many magazines, newspapers, and TV shows including:
-
The Herald and News feature, page C6 of the Living Well section, Sunday, April 4th, 2010, "A woman with pluck", describing Trudy Eastman's business life and being the first woman ever inducted into the California Waterfowlers Hall of Fame for her waterfowl conservation efforts.
-
